Last Sunday, November 21st, Sigma Phi Epsilon Kentucky Beta conducted their annual elections for their new Executive Council. The Executive Council (EC) was then sworn in at Chapter Meeting this past Sunday. It is my pleasure to introduce you to the newly elected Executive Council.
President
Sigma Phi Epsilon KY Beta would like to congratulate Manu Nair as the newly elected President. Manu Nair will be returning to the Executive Council from his role last year as VP of Recruitment but in a much larger role this year. Manu recognizes the tremendous role SigEp has played in his college experience, and now wants to give those same experiences to underclassmen. He states, “I want to show them the potential of what this chapter can do for them.” Manu Nair is the person the chapter wants and needs to both lead them and represent them. SigEp KY Beta is lucky to have Manu Nair running the helm.
Chaplain
Sigma Phi Epsilon KY Beta would like to congratulate Devan Wasson as the newly elected Chaplain. Devan will be joining Manu as the only other returning EC member. Devan will be returning in the same role as last year and hopes to continue the excellent work he was able to start. Devan is thankful for his second year serving as Chaplain with his ability to see what went right and what went wrong. The fraternity thanks Devan for his continued work and dedication to the betterment of our brothers.
VP of Programming
Sigma Phi Epsilon KY Beta would like to congratulate Samuel Ellsworth as the newly elected Vice President of Programming. Samuel is ecstatic about the upcoming year, often seen by his giddy smile and shaking knees. This excitement is what is going to push him to work tirelessly for this position. Samuel has always wanted this position and has undoubted confidence in his new role. Samuel states, “We’re the best fraternity on campus, and this year our events are going to show that.” This fraternity is lucky to have Samuel.
VP of Finance
Sigma Phi Epsilon KY Beta would like to congratulate Conner Zell as the newly elected Vice President of Finance. Conner will bring a diligent and hardworking personality to EC. He vows to listen to any criticism in hopes of bettering the chapter as much as he can. Zell realizes the importance of finances as he quotes Mr. Krabs, “If you’re wasting time, you’re wasting money, and that’s just sad.” Zell has confidence in his leadership and budgeting skills, and we are fortunate to have him in this important position.
VP of Member Development
Sigma Phi Epsilon KY Beta would like to congratulate Sawyer Depp as the newly elected Vice President of Member Development. Sawyer will be entrusted with the important task of developing our brothers through the Balanced Man Program. Sawyer has the intelligence, hardwork, and temperament to achieve in this position. Sawyer is a high-achieving, well-rounded brother who has already played a part in helping to develop brothers. The fraternity has a lot of confidence in Sawyer to create balanced men.
VP of Recruitment
Sigma Phi Epsilon KY Beta would like to congratulate Eric Rodgers as the newly elected Vice President of Recruitment. Eric Rodgers will take on a crucial role in directly affecting the future of the Fraternity. The fraternity believes Eric to be the perfect personality to not only represent what is SigEP KY Beta but to also attract future brothers that fit our high achieving standards. The fraternity has confidence that Eric Rodgers will create new classes of Brothers that will resemble the excellence of the classes that preceded them.
VP of Communications
Sigma Phi Epsilon KY Beta would like to congratulate Hayden Norris, myself, as the newly elected Vice President of Communications. This is a position I wanted and truly believe I can achieve in. I believe I have the personality, diligence, and creativity to become the best VP Com. possible. I want to take our social media platforms to places they have never been before. I have confidence we will have another successful year and continue to put Sigma Phi Epsilon at the top.
VP of Services
Sigma Phi Epsilon KY Beta would like to congratulate Evan Humphress as the newly elected Vice President of Services. Evan will be entrusted with making sure that our brothers keep Philanthropy a top priority. Evan believes Philanthropy and service have played a large part in who he is today. Evan enjoys giving back and wants to continue to show that SigEp’s care about our community. We are proud to have Evan leading the way in altruism and brotherly love.
VP of SLC
Sigma Phi Epsilon KY Beta would like to congratulate Matt Johnson as the newly elected Vice President of SigEp Learning Community (SLC). Matt has been heavily involved here at UofL, including many recognized leadership positions. Matt states that he is most excited about “getting more Brothers involved in campus activities and student organizations at UofL. We are so lucky to go to such a premier school with tons of opportunities.” Matt will focus on fostering an inclusive organization and giving back to our communities while in his position. We are lucky to have Matt Johnson.
The Executive Council will have their plates full in the next coming months as they enter in their journey to develop themselves as the faces and leaders of the chapter. Over the next couple of months, the EC will be assigned a mentor from Headquarters that will help guide them in their new roles. The new EC will also be participating in numerous leadership activities and retreats to strengthen their fellowships and their leadership qualities. Best of luck to the new Executive Council as they continue to make Sigma Phi Epsilon the best fraternity at the University of Louisville.
