For the fourth year in a row, the intramural trophy will return home to the Fig’s mantle, freshly engraved with the words: Sigma Phi Epsilon.
Despite our hot winning streak, there were most definetly times of uncertainty this season, especially given a slow start and some lost points. As the fall semester progressed, we slowly started to regain lost ground after winning Volleyball, Tug of War, Ultimate Frisbee, the swim meet, and a semi-final football finish (to name a few highlights). However, the gap was still close and there was still an entire spring semester of sports to regain ground on. Things quickly picked up in the spring as we swept up wins in major sports such as soccer, basketball, and sand volleyball.
In the end, we won by nearly 600 points. A lot of sweat and hard work was put into bringing the trophy home. A massive shout-out to our brothers who dedicate their time and passion toward participating in IM sports! They worked hard, played with passion, and most importantly, played with class… and it did not go unnoticed. We were grateful to receive the Dale Ramsey Sportsmanship Award. Also, a huge shout-out to our IM director, Matt Dulczewski, for facilitating such a great season!
Not only that, brother Levi Gaskins received the Alfred Smith Basketball Official of the Year Award for his excellent referee skills.
Proud to be a SigEp.
